A local middle school team, LEGO Lions of Beachside Montessori Village, sponsored by Egret Technologies have qualified for the Florida State Finals having competed in the early rounds of this year’s FIRST® LEGO League Robotics Competition (FLL®), an event featuring robots designed and built by students. Egret Technologies' employees mentored students and provided technical guidance as the team created robots that compete in a food safety-themed challenge “Food Factor.”

FLL is designed to build science, engineering, and technology skills and inspire innovation, among young people. As a global engineering company, Egret Technologies looks for ways to engage students in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), while at the same time, providing opportunities for employees to become involved in the communities where they work.
