This fiber optic splice and Distribution enclosure was developed for housing fiber optic splices between a fiber optic distribution cable and fiber optic customer drop cables and features a branch cable option, allowing system operators to provide business services or extend the network to remote areas and allows a node to serve up to 256 homes. The strength of the architecture is that it can be applied as needed within a hybrid fiber-coax (HFC) network, leaving the operator’s current service model intact. Analog and digital services for video, voice and data match existing protocols in both the forward and reverse path. The results are: Lower Cost – Better Quality – Customer Satisfaction – Increased Sales
